Teacher Evaluation Webinar

Featuring Robert J. Marzano and Cameron L. Rains

Teacher evaluation in the United States is broken and in significant need of an overhaul. Each year, there is a large proportion of teachers who are inaccurately judged. Though generally well intentioned, the evaluation movement of the last decade has not led to significant improvement in teacher development or student achievement, and an argument can be made that it has done more harm than good. This webinar will focus on the best ways to reset our evaluation systems on a path that makes sense, leads to greater validity and reliability of scoring, and treats teachers with the professionalism that they deserve.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understand the perils of current teacher observation and evaluation models
  • Discover how to make classroom observation work much more effectively
  • Investigate the new paradigm of teacher evaluation
